All-Inclusive Vacations Versus Cruises
The cruise was the vacation of choice for years and years among those couples who wanted to keep things simple, and among those honeymooning couples just starting their life together, and even among those families who did not want to have to worry all week about extra expenses. After all, if you take a cruise, you are able to visit a whole bunch of different locations all at once, without needing to do any of the heavy traveling yourself. You are also afforded the opportunity to participate in activities on a cruise, and to interact with lots of other people; in recent years, however, the all-inclusive resort has begun to take over. These all-inclusive resorts - much like the cruises themselves - allow people to eat and drink as much as they want, without worrying about paying any extra. Most all-inclusive resorts also are packed with planned activities and events, much like a cruise. If you are trying to decide which is right for you - a cruise or an all-inclusive resort - it is important to realize that the two are very similar, but that there are also a few distinct differences. The most obvious difference, of course, is the fact that cruises allow you to visit a bunch of different locations. While a lot of all-inclusive resorts make trips to local tourist sites available, it is not the same as being on a boat that travels all over a certain area. One of the things an all-inclusive resort provides, however, which a cruise cannot match, is the ability for you to choose what you want to do. On a cruise, your big decisions regarding sightseeing are confined to whether you will stay on the boat or leave the boat. If you want to pick and choose which sights you visit, as well as picking and choosing how long you will stay, an all-inclusive resort allows you to do so. The structure of the options is certainly one of the most major distinctions between a cruise and an all-inclusive resort. On a cruise, the rooms are typically small and uncomfortable, and are meant to be slept in only at night. At an all-inclusive resort, however, you can find that you are just as comfortable in your room as you are doing anything else available. Probably the biggest question you must answer in deciding between the two is this: do I want to be active all the time, or do I want the choice between activity and inactivity? Your answer to this question will help lead you to the right decision for you.
