Enjoying The Arts

The Watchery" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://The Watchery">http://The Watchery
Because of the saturation of media provided by the television and the internet, many forms of the arts are neglected when compared to the reverential manner in which they used to be esteemed, but one thing that you should realize for yourself is that - no matter what you do for a living or what you do in life - it is not only important to enjoy the arts, but it is beneficial as well.

One of the best ways (and certainly among the most common ways) to enjoy the arts is by keeping art in your home; while many people think strictly of keeping artwork on the walls of their home when they read "keeping art in your home," this also can mean keeping indie films in your home, artistic music in your home, and literature in your home!

As you keep art available inside your own home in this manner, it can be easy to forget that there are also things that you can (and should!) go out to experience in the arts; pay attention to the new things that are coming out, such as movies or even art shows in your area, and make the effort to get out and experience these things as often as you can.

And of course, if you want to support the arts, this can stretch outside of things that you necessarily "enjoy"; perhaps a local high school or a local theatre group is putting on a play, and even though you may have no interest in the play itself, you can support the arts and encourage the people participating to continue their immersion in their artistic pursuits by attending such events on a regular basis.

Some say that the arts are not a necessary part of life, and this may or may not be true - but what certainly is true is that the arts can be a wonderful way for someone to enrich their life, and when you learn how to enjoy the arts, you can experience this for yourself.

Don't Forget Your Sunscreen.

The Watchery" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://The Watchery">http://The Watchery
With the summer upon us, it is very important to remember to put on the sunscreen. It is critically important to remember this for your children more than anything else. In order to reduce the chance of skin cancer, the skin cancer foundation urges that people put on sunscreen. One statistic they had listed stated that children who receive blistering sunburns are at a much greater risk of skin cancer later in life. Why would you want to risk your little ones health?

To begin, it is important to talk about the sun's rays. It is the radiation from those rays that make it through the earth's atmosphere, those are Ultrviolet A and B (UV A / UV B). Luckily for us, the atmosphere filters out the more dangerous radiation. Between 10am and 4pm is when the rays are the most direct. It should be avoided as much as possible during these hours. Both UV A and UV B will burn you and cause skin damage.

Babies under the age of six months should not be out in the sun. If you plan to have them outdoors with you, definiately look into a UV protected tent for proper shading.

It is important to protect children over 6 months old with something that can protect against UV A & B. Ideally the sunscreen should have an SPF of at least 30. The sunscreen should be applied thirty minutes before they go outside.

You can choose from a mineral based sunscreen with zinc or titanium such as Loving Naturals zinc based natural sunscreen or a named brand.

When the sun is high, it is recommended to stick with wide brimmed hat or UV protectant rated clothing.

A healthy tan doesn't really exist. A tan is what indicated skin damage and should be avoided. To keep yourself safe, make sure to add sunscreen and cover up your exposed skin.

Ingenious Ways To Use A High Waiver Slot In Fantasy Football

The Watchery" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://The Watchery">http://The Watchery
Many people think of fantasy football strategy as consisting of nothing more than the draft and the decisions you must make each week as to who to start and who to sit - and when they make the decision to add a new player or change something on their team, they do nothing more than put in a waiver claim on the player they want and plug them into the lineup. And while waivers is certainly a big part of achieving success in fantasy football - and while you will sometimes need to pick up a particular player off waivers, regardless of the waiver slot you have - you should also realize that there are a few strategical advantages you can gain when you have the number one position on waivers.

The first ingenious way to use a high waiver slot in fantasy football is to wait for a truly blockbuster player; rather than simply using your high waiver slot to fill a minimal need, save your high waiver slot for a time when it will be truly valuable, and wait to see if the minor players you want clear waivers, when they will be readily available for you to pick up.

Using your high waiver slot as a trade piece is a second ingenious way to employ it; if someone is far back on waivers and you are high on waivers, and they want a player who will be picked up by someone else before them, work out a trade with that person, then pick up the player they want and execute the trade.

And finally, especially during the bye weeks, you can use a top waiver spot as an extra bench slot; if you have a good player on bye, and there is another good player available as a free agent, you can drop your player right before games begin on Sunday in favor of this bye week fill-in, and after games end on Sunday, you can use your top waiver spot to pick up this player once again!

By being creative when you have a top waiver spot, you will be able to increase the value you get from this waiver spot - and will therefore increase your likelihood of winning!
